A special committee formed to investigate the alleged sexual assault of a private college student in Lahore has submitted its report to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

According to the report, no evidence of sexual assault was found in the college, nor was there any eyewitness to the alleged incident. The committee conducted interviews with around 28 students, both male and female, in which they only shared hearsay.

The college administration failed to handle the situation, and the principal had no control over the students. The committee also held a detailed conversation with the girl who had been in the ICU. It was found that the girl, who was injured on October 2, was hurt due to a fall at home.

It is noteworthy that the Punjab government had set up a special committee to investigate the alleged sexual assault incident involving a private college student in Lahore, which was supposed to submit its report within 48 hours. Additionally, Section 144 has been imposed in various cities of Punjab, resulting in the closure of educational institutions and the postponement of exams.
