Karachi (Big Digit)(Report: Pirbux Noonari)Karachi An important meeting was held today at the main office of Manghopir Town, in which a distinguished delegation of the Election Commission of Pakistan specially participated. The delegation was led by senior officials, who met with the Chairman Manghopir Town, Mr. Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, local council members and officers of the town administration.

The meeting was held in a pleasant and constructive atmosphere, in which detailed discussions were held on the development of the area, improvement of basic civic amenities and public welfare projects.

On this occasion, the Election Commission delegation reviewed the performance of the NADRA registration station and emphasized on continuing this campaign in a more expeditious, coordinated and people-friendly manner. The delegation appreciated the fact that the local government of Manghopir Town has taken excellent steps to provide identification facilities to the citizens.

The Election Commission delegation expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi for his hospitality and wonderful hosting. He said that the development works, sanitation, improvement of roads, and provision of public facilities in Manghopir Town are welcome and the overall situation of the area has improved significantly.

The ceremony was attended by Municipal Commissioner Agha Khaliq, Vice Chairman Rana Muhammad Arif, Information Secretary District West Pakistan Peoples Party Ali Akbar Kachhilo, Younis Mengal, Leader of the Opposition Habibullah Swati, Ms. Zubaida Baloch and other dignitaries.

All the guests appreciated the ongoing development works and public service spirit in Manghopir Town and paid tribute to the local government leadership.

Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi presented gifts of Ajrak and Sindhi Topi to all the delegation members, highlighting their culture. And while addressing the media, he said:
“Serving the people of Manghopir Town is my mission. We will take all possible steps to make the NADRA registration campaign more effective and ensure the provision of identification facilities to every citizen. We are determined that the journey of development of Manghopir Town will continue and God willing, it will set a new example of improvement every day.”

The ceremony ended with prayers and a reiteration of the commitment to a developed, prosperous and strong Manghopir Town.
