Zimbabwe has set a new world record for the highest score in T20 cricket. In the ICC T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Qualifier match against Gambia, Zimbabwe posted a record total of 344 runs.

Previously, the record for the highest T20 score was held by Nepal, which had scored 314 runs against Mongolia in the Asian Games last year.

In the match played in Nairobi, Zimbabwe, batting first, scored 344 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Zimbabwe’s captain, Sikandar Raza, scored the country’s first T20 century. He reached his century in just 33 balls and remained unbeaten with 133 runs off 43 balls, including 15 sixes and 7 fours.
