Analysis on the Speech of H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia

The Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia was held on September 14 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The primary focus of this gathering was to address critical aspects of regional cooperation, integration, and security among the Central Asian nations.

During the summit, H.E. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a comprehensive speech that encompassed several key areas of discussion. He discussed trade, economics, transport, and logistics relations, highlighting the importance of sustainable, green economy practices and energy management. He called for enhanced ecological cooperation and combating the adverse effects of climate change.

President Mirziyoyev called for expanding the transport potential of Central Asian countries and gave the vision for the establishment of the Central Asian Economic Council. The formulation of transport and transit agreements, will creates an efficient transport corridors to connect Central Asia with China, South Asia, the Middle East, and the European Union. Additionally, his proposal advocated for an action plan for the liberalization of transport services, exploring the concept of integrated digital platforms for international transportation, and involving Azerbaijani partners in collaborative efforts.

In these discussions, the message of stability and unity in Central Asia was strongly emphasized. President Mirziyoyev also recommended the adoption of an action plan to deepen cultural and humanitarian interactions between Central Asian countries. This underscores the importance of preserving and promoting the rich historical and cultural ties that bind the region together.

Central Asia is emerging as a pivotal centre for economic growth and investment activity. It is reaffirming its historical role as a vital transport hub connecting the West with the East and the North with the South. The key priority is a commitment to cultural and humanitarian cooperation built upon shared history, traditions, culture, and values that celebrate both unity and diversity within the unique Central Asian civilization.

 

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s leadership remains dedicated to fostering cooperation and contributing to regional harmony and stability through enhanced connectivity. Uzbekistan’s vision is firmly rooted in principles of mutual advantage, mutual respect, and a balance of interests, promoting friendship, good neighborliness, and robust strategic partnerships among Central Asian nations. In essence, Uzbekistan’s proactive approach reflects a broader commitment to the prosperity and cooperation of the entire Central Asian region.
