China has undergone significant modern-day development and embarked on a path of national rejuvenation. Each civilization represents the shared ideals and aspirations of humanity as they have evolved over time. Ideas such as “Harmony is most valuable,” “Seek harmony in diversity,” and “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you” have long been championed by the Chinese civilization.
The Chinese government’s fundamental policies include putting into practice and enhancing guarantees of equality for all ethnic communities and accelerating their economic and socio-economic development. Additionally, it is part of their policies to protect the right to practice any religion freely and to highlight the contribution that religious figures and followers make to social and economic progress. China has opened up a wide range of prospects for improved mutual communication and cooperation among all sides. China has always sought peaceful resolution to international problems and local conflicts via conversation and consultation, condemned any manifestations of terrorism, racism, separatism, and extremism, and rejected any association of terrorism with any particular racial or religious group.
Some of the characteristics of the development path of the integration of all ethnic groups in China under the leadership of the CPC include the idea of fairness, unity, and tranquilly among all ethnic groups; the integration model of the participation of all ethnic groups, the integration of economic and social development (the basis of common prosperity and development), and the equal protection of the linguistic and cultural rights of all ethnic groups.
In the past, the ancient Silk Road paved the way for the exchange of cultures and the cross-cultural exchanges of Chinese and other civilizations by serving as a conduit for the transmission of ideas, beliefs, languages, customs, and traditions from one civilization to another. The long and successful history of this practice led to a shared, peaceful heritage through the trade of goods. Additionally, it resulted in the revival of the Old Silk Route; which symbolically fosters the common historical cultural heritage of the past and the new developing China. The BRI marks the achievement of an important milestone in uniting and diversifying civilizations.
